Klog S4.3 - Photos
Irresponsible mediacorp - spoilt and wasted my Monday night.
Where i go for dinner usually - an Ant Tea You canteen-lookalike near Jalan Membina. Price also similar :D
Had Men-ten Ramen when meeting Ei See Ess ppl for dinner after work on Wed. $13nett for the ramen plus free-flow green tea / ice water.
Brought my Vietnamese coffee to the office on Thurs. and to fish or not in the afternoon now depends on this small cup of caffeine liao..
Sat. My family came over! after fetching me from Ann Jay, lunched at Ant Tea You, came and see my room then dinner @ Tiong bahru market. This prawn mee was the Buzzing Cashier 抢摊大行动 last episode de. i think really not bad. nice pork ribs. big prawns. thick soup base.

Ann Jay (Old) Gate Climbers

after alumni prac on sat morning. before we had CurryWok student set meal. They were 7 other good students who went out from the main gate instead. Haha.
PS/ towel was placed on top of the barbed wire so that it's less dangerous to climb over it. However, we still had one minor casualty that day for the first female climber..

Klog S4.2 - Happy, Contented Day
Work has been challenging. abit stressful already. Morning was spent on Basel ii summary and some ICAAP stuff. Woo. i'm a semi-baselii-pro now. and a pro soon-to-be! Must finish by next week. and it's statistically proven that coffee does have laxative effect on me in the morning. haha. after the 134 trials.
And finally get to eat my long-time-no-see phillip street roast meat! The charsiew is just so damn fishing yummy and tender and juicy! and the never-ending queue even though it was drizzling this afternoon. and the friendly fruit stall uncle aunty. Then followed by Mr. Bean ice cream. Wow. Heavenly office lunch. and went back office at 1.30 i.e. 30 minutes nap time. Aha.
This evening had a quite intimidating meeting where i was the one taking down the minutes. and attendees were all at least VP level ppl. I had to set up the room, the teleconference call then minutes while trying to recognise who is who and who said what based on their profile pictures which i suspect taken quite some time ago. Haha.
Meeting ended at 5pm and didnt want to have any leftover work next mon, i chiong-ed finished typing the minutes with all the appropriate salutations and titles of all the attendees and those who absent with apologies. then slowly arrange them according to department, and then rank. woosh. left the office at 1851. was the few last to leave le. Friday maaa.
Back track abit. Had lunch yesterday with my another team (yeah i am under 2 teams so this is my second team lunch). and boss realised that i am from his jc. haha. then he talked alot and really alot about his times in jc. how his teacher stroke pink form like mine. how he ponned assembly like what we usually do. and how he thinks that the education system is flawed and not good. Haha. and talked about some teachers who are still in the jc in my years. cool uh. my boss is 13 years senior than me btw.
Colleagues talked about some chinese language test thing and then to how many zeros does 一亿 have? 1...2..3. times up. Answer is 8. hundred million. Yup. and i dont want my chinese to deteriorate like that 20 years down the road leh. Wahaha. Next entry will be in chineseeeeeeeee.
Rushed for harmoc prac and yeah i still do enjoy prac very much. practising songs. play together. and guess what. this coming mon we are going to mediacorp studio together to watch Mr. Tang (our band instructor) perform Qing Hua Ci and Ju Hua Tai!. Cool sia. whaha. and u might catch me on Tee Vee. XD and the guys actually stayed back after prac today to make the fan card for him.. haha check out the photo below. and settled some stuff finally. Haha.

Klog S4.2 – its become a diary thing.
Due to some reasons, couldn’t sleep last night. Till around 3 plus I think. Luckily managed to wake up at 6.55am. reached office before 8am. Saw a stack of notes on my desk with post-it: wj, make a copy and finish reading by end of next week. Orh.
Have been saying so much about my never-ending reading list. Interested to know the full list? All have to be read concurrently coz everything damn thing is linked! Haha okla. I actually quite enjoy exploring the banking stuff. Compare it with insurance. Then go back and read again. Just that sometimes it could be rather sleep inducing.

Economic capital – Pillar 2 and ICAAP under Basel ii
plus the new stack from today. Around 2000 pages of stuff. Way too much than what I have read in the past three years man. -.- (and I only finished around 266.) Gaaaaah.
Also, now I have 2 direct supervisors – so morning report to Boss K, afternoon to Boss M. I've two reporting line i.e. in two teams ie need to juggle between A and B. Multitask and singlepay! piangz. Was tasked to do this access SQL thing, PC no MS office, had to use a super slow laptop. Almost vomit blood.
Just before the blood actually splashes out, it was time for team lunch! Ate at this Silk Road restaurant with crystal jade alike menu. Boss M and teammates talked A LOT on Chinese history and I was like.. yeah I know Sanguo from the games. Haha. Then they continue to talk about places in China…
Ah. Took my very first toilet nap (i.e. close the lid, sat on it and doze off) today. Really couldn’t bear the sleepiness though aircon was at full blast.
Landlord’s kid successfully differentiate –an and –ang. And taught him cactus and dolphin in Chinese. Haha. And he likes the 我问天 song. Lao uncle.
Damn. Should go tobed read now.

Fun i've missed in June
Woohoo. it's quite cool to see whole bunch of ppl marching along the roadside wearing something only in the form of softcopy in your computer. :P ahahha. i think the shirt look nice. CCC 2009. would have joined in the fun as old boy if i didnt start working so early.
Thanks to fb. i can see how ppl had fun during the camp. and i do see returning face(s)! Saw my group's member naomi in one of the photos. Wah. that means the CCC07 was damn good and that's why we have returning camper(s)! :D
and blogsearch-ed a lil and as what we had last year, those kinnas (XD) had fun for sure. Definitely more interaction and understanding among students across the causewau. Some were determined to improve their chinese/knowledge of chinese culture. objectives achieved.

#1: In the working world people are not just one or two years senior than you like the system that we are so used to it back in secondary, jay see or even in uni. People around you are 10, 20 years older than you in age and effectively with their experience, social age and everything, it makes you feel like a baby – or if that’s a bit exaggerating – a first-day kindergarten kid who doesn’t know a thing : clean, pure white sheet with nothing to expect, nothing to give except to absorb like a sponge.
#2: I don’t understand why people must be so secretive and sensitive about the compensation issue, especially when you are not earning some millions of dollar now. I mean like, so what if others know about your (my) pay? I have friends, colleagues and even my room agent who appeared to be super sensitive when they touched on this issue. If you asked me, I will tell you. Not like you can do anything to my playslip right? (Or you actually can?) It’s just like I dun like to go around asking people what grades they got for exams, but if you were to ask me, I will tell you mine.
#3: I am not exactly a quiet person but I will try not to say unnecessary stuff whenever it’s possible (excluding times when crap jokes are needed during gathering or blow water session la). If I can use one word to reply a question or a statement in a conversation, you wont get to hear anything longer than that. Most of the time, could be just an “orh”. But sometimes, we need to speak out more. For different reasons. To get more participation points, to socialize, to appear to be smart, to make people feel important, to bootlick, to do damn a lot of fake stuff on fake reasons which imho not necessary in life. i.e I dislike/hate ppl who ask stupid question (in class for e.g.) to get attention. But damn. It’s LIFE that we are talking about here. hope i wont become someone like that.

This week we had ...*drumrolls* ... steamboat at Kallang! followed by Yonghe tauhuey till my last train gone.
Bwahaha.
Didnt know that last train was gone until i reached Payar Lebar on LX's car. they said weekend last train later one leh... and i thought there's bus going back to my place. Bwahaha number 2
And no..! no bus back from Payalebar MRT. 30 goes to Vee Jay but i need 33! Old liao. memory failure -..- probably need to switch at somewhere familiar then. But hang on, it's already past midnight. wow i need to walk fast. Cross the road, find bus stop, read the bus directory thing. Dont have. Next bus stop. Bwahaha number 3
So was just randomly walking along the main road and just before i decided to cab home, for dunno-what reason i walked to this junction, turned right. decided not to cross the overhead. stop at the bus stop. and saw service 63 ... it goes to Jalan Tiong Bahru. Last bus 0026. Time check 0022. Bwahhaha number 4
Decided to trust Es Bee Es, sat down and wait for my last bus. and it reached on time! Tankkkkyeww. Bwahahahaha number 5,6,7,8,9,10
and i reached Tiongbahru at 0103hrs.
Lady luck please dont use too much of your power on me now.. can i reserve it to cover for a longer period of time? if possible link to my tpx?
Time to clear my reading list.
Ah btw. next week dinner postponed, i think. since so many Tee Pee Ex-ers with relatively stable attendance cant make it. Ya.

Klog S4.1 - More work trivia
- I take bus to work but MRT to go home. Morning there is direct bus just opposite my block and takes only 15 minutes to reach the office. But when I go back, i take the train so that I can tapau/have my dinner on my way walking back home and also give myself some walk and sweat time.
- I have colleagues live near to my place!
- I get distracted from work very easily (though I haven’t really started on the actual actual work).. drifted away … to dunno where…
- Working environment has a steep learning curve – and it’s boundary-less. Good thing is everything is exciting when you don’t know anything. Bad thing is I am lazy. Much lazier than the time when I claim that becoming lazy is irreversible.
- Making friend is much harder now as you don’t have the time to dig heart dig lung 掏心掏肺.. unless there is gonna be some drinking session uhuh
- Newbies are supposed to have great enthusiasm huh. But sometimes I wish I can just don’t give a damn. Wahaha. (: build good relationship. Build network. Eh.

Klog S4.1 - trivia from work today
- i am the youngest in my department. hoho. perhaps not something to be happy about uh
- central aircon spoilt today and wasnt fixed until very late whoosh
- that's why was brought out by seniors to have tuition session cum know-more-about-the-dept and joke sharing session at Moondollar's best friend - for almost 2.5hrs XD
- am extremely grateful for the crash tutorial about stuff that i am currently doing - sort of got the big picture now and woosh. i am doing something quite significantly important!
- attended my very first meeting and quite lost coz of the acronymssssssss
- gonna meet MANY(>10) bigshots of the company for meeting soon. am tasked to jot down minutes (as in who said what and who answered what and who called in and asked question etc etc i.e i would need to recognise all of them when they dont even know me!) for formal report. nervous seh.
- tell me you dont know where i work at. i dont want compliance people to track my footsteps till HERE! Shhhhhhh....

Klog Season 4! Week 0 - The Transitional Phase
Muahaha. here comes Klog series again! Please refer to my past entries for more information about Klog. Am still in the transitional phase getting use to my neighborhood and stuff..
Week 0 - back in Singapore since tuesday and it has been a rather busy bee busy week. I've moved in officially to my new 'home away from home'. paid my rental + one month deposit + 1/2 month agent fee. and getting ready for my second life (or some say 'no life'?! haha) .. This entry could be abit sien, just recording what have i done for the past few days. So scroll down for pic if you need to.
Tuesday 2 June
Here I am, lying down comfortably on my new bed typing this entry which will be posted once I get connected to the internet. Time check 11:36pm. Shall go to sleep early as I needa collect some documents from the office tomorrow morning for PR application.
10:48pm. Finally reached my unit but cant seem to find my key! 0.o Don’t tell me I lost it? Darren came open the door and said hello. Aunty hasn’t back from work. The 10 year-old who cant differentiate -an and -ang kacau-ed me for a while before their maid asked him to go bed. Time to have a cold shower. Ah and I found my key.
10:40pm. Erm. 104…105 where is blk 109? Wa getting lost on my first night at tiong bahru isn’t fun. Am damn tired and the laptop is breaking my wrist. Should be over … there.
10:30pm. Ok Exit A to Jalan Membina. Let’s see how much time I need to walk back to my room. Agent said would take around 12 minutes. So it’s the distance from Hall 14 to NBS FAL. Hope I can find my way there ah. Haha.

Wednesday 3 June
Morning went to collect my PR form with company stamp and shunbian recce to test out what time do I need to wake up to catch the latest-but-enough-for-me-to-reach-in-time bus to work. Hehe. Woke up rather early, maybe because I’m still in the phase of getting used to the bed.
8:03am *Dee.Dee* on 196 now. 9 more stops to alight. Ah saw the 7:52 bus went off while I was crossing the overhead bridge. New bus. No TVMobile. A lot of salarymen/women on board.
8:18am Wow 15 minutes. Just passed by the stop that I’m supposed to alight at on Monday. But today I am going to the HR building so 2 more stops.
8:32am Security uncle bluffed me. HR should be at level 22 instead la. Anyway think he didn’t mean it de. Very nice HR colleague helped me photocopied those documents needed.
Nice checking out those makan places when I was in PA time. Left Shenton Way at 9:03am. Bus 196. Yeah got bus stop opposite my office to back home :D
Back in my room and aunty is so nice to reserve place for my toiletries, offer to (let her maid to) wash my clothes and cook my lunch (till end of this week as I start work on mon)! Wahsey. T..T I can use the living room com for internet but I couldn’t find its USB port! No pictures will be uploaded then. Sien. But still. am feeling lucky!

Went to Queensway shopping centre with Vivace comm/harmoc ppl to negotiate price for printing materials with UltraSupply. Trip objective failed to achive as the service was BAD. they just dont want to layan you unlike the previous manager whose service is super nice. Damn you.
Had Mr. Bean ice cream again! The coolest ice cream in town. Anyway walked super alot today and was damn tired. Feeling old already. Band prac was nice with pro drummer! Whoosh. Vivace!
Friday 5 June
Another busy busy day. Went to ICA very early in the morning to apply for PR, get my temp working permit. Then something happened which made me understand the meaning of sacrifice. Haha.
Apply for PR. of course you would need ID photo right. So quite desperate on Thurs afternoon then took one using the ID photo machine at Ant Tea You $6 for 4 photos. *Kacha* Then once u get on to ICA building Level 3. There is a phototaking + photocopy station. 4 photos for $5.35. Damn. Shouldnt be so ganchiong last night huh. I mumbled on the escalator. Hmm. Level 4. 4 Photos for $5! Wahsey. So if you are lazy or simply satisfied with the $5.35 on level 3, you will end up paying more for the same thing for the one floor difference. Ok. i know i sound very uncle here. Still.
The application process was quite smooth. gotten my permit stamped on my passport then quarantined for 3 months in Singapore! Wahaha. Then went to Ann El Bee after my ICA trip. This is only my second time there haha as you can see i am too lazy to read books. Proud to declare that i had never borrowed a single book from Ant Tea You libraries for my three years undergraduate life! Muahaha.
But eventually found out that hey actually the inner part of me likes books! Flipped through/read language related books e.g. 13 methods to speak fluent japanese, Le Petit Prince (in French), Photography books and also stuff related to my work... On! gonna apply the membership card once i got my Pee Are. Did some shopping for working attire and now i'm at Old Can A using Ant Tea You Wireless LAN again.

Week 0 - back in Singapore since tuesday and it has been a rather busy bee busy week. I've moved in officially to my new 'home away from home'. paid my rental + one month deposit + 1/2 month agent fee. and getting ready for my second life (or some say 'no life'?! haha) .. This entry could be abit sien, just recording what have i done for the past few days. So scroll down for pic if you need to.
Tuesday 2 June
Here I am, lying down comfortably on my new bed typing this entry which will be posted once I get connected to the internet. Time check 11:36pm. Shall go to sleep early as I needa collect some documents from the office tomorrow morning for PR application.
10:48pm. Finally reached my unit but cant seem to find my key! 0.o Don’t tell me I lost it? Darren came open the door and said hello. Aunty hasn’t back from work. The 10 year-old who cant differentiate -an and -ang kacau-ed me for a while before their maid asked him to go bed. Time to have a cold shower. Ah and I found my key.
10:40pm. Erm. 104…105 where is blk 109? Wa getting lost on my first night at tiong bahru isn’t fun. Am damn tired and the laptop is breaking my wrist. Should be over … there.
10:30pm. Ok Exit A to Jalan Membina. Let’s see how much time I need to walk back to my room. Agent said would take around 12 minutes. So it’s the distance from Hall 14 to NBS FAL. Hope I can find my way there ah. Haha.

Wednesday 3 June
Morning went to collect my PR form with company stamp and shunbian recce to test out what time do I need to wake up to catch the latest-but-enough-for-me-to-reach-in-time bus to work. Hehe. Woke up rather early, maybe because I’m still in the phase of getting used to the bed.
8:03am *Dee.Dee* on 196 now. 9 more stops to alight. Ah saw the 7:52 bus went off while I was crossing the overhead bridge. New bus. No TVMobile. A lot of salarymen/women on board.
8:18am Wow 15 minutes. Just passed by the stop that I’m supposed to alight at on Monday. But today I am going to the HR building so 2 more stops.
8:32am Security uncle bluffed me. HR should be at level 22 instead la. Anyway think he didn’t mean it de. Very nice HR colleague helped me photocopied those documents needed.
Nice checking out those makan places when I was in PA time. Left Shenton Way at 9:03am. Bus 196. Yeah got bus stop opposite my office to back home :D
Back in my room and aunty is so nice to reserve place for my toiletries, offer to (let her maid to) wash my clothes and cook my lunch (till end of this week as I start work on mon)! Wahsey. T..T I can use the living room com for internet but I couldn’t find its USB port! No pictures will be uploaded then. Sien. But still. am feeling lucky!

Thursday 4 June
Went to Queensway shopping centre with Vivace comm/harmoc ppl to negotiate price for printing materials with UltraSupply. Trip objective failed to achive as the service was BAD. they just dont want to layan you unlike the previous manager whose service is super nice. Damn you.
Had Mr. Bean ice cream again! The coolest ice cream in town. Anyway walked super alot today and was damn tired. Feeling old already. Band prac was nice with pro drummer! Whoosh. Vivace!
Friday 5 June
Another busy busy day. Went to ICA very early in the morning to apply for PR, get my temp working permit. Then something happened which made me understand the meaning of sacrifice. Haha.
Apply for PR. of course you would need ID photo right. So quite desperate on Thurs afternoon then took one using the ID photo machine at Ant Tea You $6 for 4 photos. *Kacha* Then once u get on to ICA building Level 3. There is a phototaking + photocopy station. 4 photos for $5.35. Damn. Shouldnt be so ganchiong last night huh. I mumbled on the escalator. Hmm. Level 4. 4 Photos for $5! Wahsey. So if you are lazy or simply satisfied with the $5.35 on level 3, you will end up paying more for the same thing for the one floor difference. Ok. i know i sound very uncle here. Still.
The application process was quite smooth. gotten my permit stamped on my passport then quarantined for 3 months in Singapore! Wahaha. 接下来在南大口琴 剩下最后一个任务了
来小小回顾一篇
三年来 风风雨雨
见证 成长 看清 了 这么那么多的人事物
在大学生涯里 没有口琴团这一块
奈九米二就不会是现在酱一个人了
更好？更坏？哇咖哩吗仙
但可以肯定的是 没有口琴 我会是一个平凡的毕业生
花更多时间在上课读书考试
成绩会更好？现在已经很满足咯
没错 自认现在的我 好像不怎么平凡
不平凡是因为 在口琴和大家
慢慢地 一件件实现了所坚持的事
一些之前只出现在白日梦里的东东
大一 用包天胆挑了副筹大梁
实现了已在脑里许久的 附主题演奏会
也满足了自己的私欲 把很爱的一首歌 翻译成谱 登上小雅之堂
骗了还未入学的学妹加入口琴 让团里更国际化一点
当然 也摸清了自己的脾气 摩擦了自己身边的人
相对也自认成长少少
大二 用厚皮脸参加了竞选 看到的东西 一瞬间放大好几倍
眼睛贴邮票看不到的 更多倍 需要处理更多事情
比如说第一次面试别人 考验自己的眼光
第一次代表团争取某某东西 考验自己的口才和定力
第一次彻底了解之前所不了解但是发现离理想蛮远的东西
无可否认 硬拔硬拉 成长过程颠簸但蛮够力的
口琴营走向比较营的形式 也在我的淫威之下大家校外趴趴走到脚软
在学会里担任反对党一职 其实蛮累人的
当多数不服少数时 就得依赖自己的诡辩狡辩奸诈老奸巨猾的本领
因为职位的关系 看的人更广 事更多
想要做的更多 但是时间有限 自己还没完全了解时 是时候交棒了
口琴团服 部落格 用Youtube和全世界分享 年底纪念册 金琴奖
最后一项硬掰换来的是 口琴团这个早该拥有的正式名称
大三 不懂做么自己酱鸡婆 可能是留下半生熟半烂的摊子
加上自己已摸熟东敲西敲的门路 还有未完成的梦想
口琴的东西我还要硬参一咖
在我胡作非为扰乱民心的作祟下 嗯 发生了一些事情
或许是前一年被我弄烂 还是也算我眼光不错一下
这年口琴不管是练习 还是出席率 都进步了
看到团员 更联合国 更加热血
慢慢感觉到之前想要向前迈进的那个大方向了
之前小步小步的改变 好的坏的也逐渐成为未成文的团规 的传统
现在毕业要踏入社会的前夕
还有最后一份任务 历年来最大型演奏会
讲没有压力 屁咧 希望开工后兼顾得到
当然这些我或直接或间接所带来的改变是好是坏 还有待确定
不管之后发生什么事 有没有人继续我所谓的遗志
我没有后悔 只有小小的遗憾 因为能为口琴做的只有那么多
如果要细数这三年最感动到自己的东西
应该是看到以下这篇
