“Masook!”
You must shout this when you cross the finishing line to mark the victory of your team in the game we called ‘Masook’. A game we played almost every day in front of my house last time (kindergarten till … primary five of six I think). There must be at least 6players forming 2 teams. One defending another one attacking. We used brick to mark the lines on the tar road. Usually three orange lines for a six-player-game. Let me explain the game abit more.
Initiation:
Ohyabeyasom to decide who’s in which team. Both teams choose one captain then stand on each side of the starting line. Captains hit each other’s hand to start the game.
Propagation:
Defenders normally take positions as shown.
The objective of the attackers is to pass the middle then the last line then return to the starting line without being touched by the defenders. Vice versa for defenders. One touch = change side to attack/defend. The attackers win the game if any one of them masook-ed (ie returned to the starting line) then back to initiation phase for another round.
People with long hands (like me) have certain degree of advantage in defense. People who are short and skinny (I was v short) can slide through the defenders easily. LOL.
Special cases:
-Pinocchio.
If there is an extra player then he will be the Pinocchio who gets to play (attack) in every turn. Haha it’s like everyone will have to start from Pinocchio then upgrade to side-defenders and then normally the more experienced one will be the team captain haha.
-‘Bao’.
Bao as in bungkus or wrap. If the offensive team moves too slowly, they might be bao-ed by the defending team in an area then jialat liao lor. Both teams will just stare at each other for v long, nobody dares to move…*crow flew by*

Termination:
Dinner time and mum’s shout from the dining table. =P
Ps: got people call this game ‘dang3 dui4’ or something else la. Maybe u have played this before also. Share with me if there is any difference in your version. =P
