(Warning. very long post with 30+ photos)
Woohoo. Had the very first Tee Pee Ex Chalet with the class at NSRCC Tanah Merah and it was unexpectedly fun despite some early cold water when some decided to pangseh us last minute. We stayed in Bungalow No. 9 and it was a spacious and comfortable 'lake-house'(as termed by JY) with big glass sliding doors. Fully air-conditioned, well equipped kitchen and with a cable TV.
So at Day1 1730hrs, Four of us checked-in into the chalet on JY's car. Haha. it is always great to have one of us with own vehicle for any gathering. So we got the key for the bungalow, unloaded all the food and drinks then sat on the sofa to wait for our last 20% attendance for Day1.

The back view of the bungalow.

There was a swing next to the bungalow as well.

Located near to the seaside, it was quite windy if you take a walk around the resort area. The above photos (and some of the belows) without my blog address label are from anne's upload on fb. While waiting, there was some TV shows, some reminder smses for those who coming on Day2 and card games. That's when i introduced the game: my-name-is-naijiewmil to them XD
At around 1900hrs, YF arrived completing the attendance for Day1. Actually i do enjoy small group gathering very much and will tend to be more quiet if it was a big group. Amazingly, the five of us did quite a number of stuff on the first night and yeah was quite shagged but it was fun :D
The pioneer five on Day1.
There were some chitchatting and card games. and i was snapping photos using my cam-whose-LCD-has-just-spoilt with the viewfinder. to get ready for Day2 when we will have [almost] triple the attendance.
Ninety-nine. Another game that i enjoyed very muchie.
The mahjong set arrived at around 1930hrs and we played for a few rounds. Refreshed some of my memories on mahjong playing as it has been quite long since i last touched the tiles. The tiles was in pandan flavour! Still very noob I am. Then it was already 2100hrs when we realised that our stomach was abit too hungry so off we go on JY's car to Changi Village for foooood.
Ordered a little bit of some food to share, dinner was great and the gals was busy with their interrogating session. Now let's see our little bit of some.
Chicken chop horfun. Apparently this stall is famous for this and indeed it was awesome with smooth horfun, tender chicken and great sauce :D""
Then the Hokkien Mee with one extra lime. which was different from the normal Singapore thick beehoon Hokkien Mee. I believe they used the not-that-thick beehoon and the 'mouth feel' was nice!
Then ikan bakar aka grilled stingray which was quite normal. Like the cencaluk though.
Sleepy cat on the table next to us.
After dinner, we went back to the 'lakehouse' and it was time for some CnH2n+1-OH :) There was Sugarless green tea + Ume Sake(10% ABV) and Vodka cola(42% ABV).
Personally, i think that the cola portion was too much. Prefer the burning sensation slowy crawling down the throat and also the shiokness derived from the evaporation in the mouth. Hehe
So after card games, mj, nice dinner and drinks. We played JY's all time top 3 best seller board game called Settlers of the Catan. Very interactive and fun game with lotsa strategising, trading, probability and sabo-ing. :D
The game board.
Zoom in. In this photo there's a settlement (house), a road and terrains which produce resources (Wood-do, Wheat-to and Sheep-pu). Nice nice game.
Then we went out again after sending Shux home. After some map reading, we reached Geylang. Took some walk to Lorong 24 to have our YongHe tauhuay.
Yup. It has been some time since they moved to the corner shop. Everything remains the same (their 古早味retro uniform, their soya milk and the payment method. Customer was abit the few though. As compared to the old premise.
The tauhuay, soya milk and XL youtiao. :D"" We had too many nice stuff on Day1 already. Back to the chalet at about 0200hrs. After bathing, it was another round of board gaming! Puerto rico which took us almost 45 minutes to read the manual and learn how to play then took us almost 2 hours to finish the game. A super duper fun strategy game! We got hooked on it definitely. DAMN NICE ahhhh.
So went for a walk at 0500hrs. Came back when the sky turned red. then finally decided to go sleep at around 0800hrs. That's how i ended my Day1.
It was two hours later when the next morning came. YF was leaving for his interview so left the three of us (Me, JY and HS) in the chalet. Ate the supernice redbean bun (with real redbean fillings - can even feel the texture of the beans) that JY highly recommended. and then guess wad. we had another round of Puerto Rico. Just wont get enough of it.
Half way through the game, Shux came with our lunch. We ate then welcome the new player to Puerto Rico. Took another few minutes to teach her while playing at the same time, the rest of the class came in by shuttle bus. Kugen, QH, KC, one.vonne, Wil and Van. LX, JJ and Anne joined us later. So a total of 14 participants ~ a record tied to the attendance of our post final final exam lunch.
Puerto Rico game board which takes 10-15minutes to set up. You need to have plantation, buildings, trade ur corps or ship your barrels of goods to the old island. Complicated degree 100 thousand as compared to Monopoly but again, it's DAMN fun. Continuing with our unfinished game, we recuited new player for Puerto Rico. While the rest playing mahjong or watch Tee Vee. Actually should have gathered everyone to play some game together instead of splitting into groups but we didnt. Nonetheless, the chalet was damn noisy with so many people and it was not a bad sign afterall.
Then it was almost the makan time. So prepared the food. We have chicken wings, crab/sotong balls, crab meat, sausages, corny corns and satays. And also nice fried beehoon from JJ's mum.
So charcoal + lighter + starter + lotsa fanning and waiting. we get our Bee Bee Cue pit ready for cooking.

Of course, you will need blowman to blow into the flame - to replace fanning which the airspeed might be not enough sometimes.
Also, the charcoalman to replace the charcoal whenever it's needed.
Last and the least, pokerman who dressed accidentally in red and black, pose as the Spade, Diamond, Heart and Club. Joker taking the photo.
With people helping out at the pit, the majong table lack one ka. but they still looked happy. Haha.
Everyone gathered around the pit which was really rare for a Beebeecue time! Probably because there was enough space for everyone to crowd around and everyone was kinda hungry. Ah. and it was the first all-together activity. afterall has been quite some time the class didnt gather.

Everyone was in the photo except for Anne (photographer), Wil (left early) and QH (forgot where he was liao)

The fooooooood. Starting from the most popular bacon with golden needle mushroom, then a tie between ball stick and chicken wings. The last popular was the otak2 - tasted damn nua..
Caught an SIA plane flew by the NSRCC area. Yeah was very close to the airport so the aircraft noise was rather louddddd.
Didnt take a lot of photos later in the Day2 evening due to 2 reasons : i was eating and some photos turned out really off coz i couldnt switch it to night mode - the LCD was spoilt! =..= Basically we drank (Yes, i had some really nice much purer vodka without ice and it was shioioooooioioioook. and as usual, i became a lobster after that), we ate then had to play 终极密码 the ultimate code to finish off all the unfinished food (a tradition for Beebeecue eh?)
Some more gaming (one round of Puerto, one round of settlers and one round of mynameisnaijiewmil - glad that everyone liked mynameisnaijiewmil! :D) and then a walk to the direction of ECP. We ran into two policemen who asked us to stick closely to each other. Ehhhh? Then it was about to rain again. We got back to the chalet and I was already very very tired while Man U vs Arsenal was still on its second half. At that time only left nine of us in the chalet. Drank a can of Heneiken before i went to bed and heard KC cheering for the third goal. The bed was very comfy with the aircon and thick blanket. The next thing i know was my alarm ringtone. and it was Day3 0800hrs.
Packed, Cleaned up abit then chatted for a while while waiting for the rest to wake up. Checked out at 0945hrs and took a ride to Yishun on JY's car. MRT-ed back and reached Ant Tea You at around 1200hrs. That's the end of our 2.5D2N Tee Pee Ex Chalet.

It was a regret having less than half of the class attending the chalet and probably too little time for whole group activity/talking time but i did enjoy myself alot. Am truely grateful esp for HS and Shux's organising effort and coordination, YF for his presence even though he had interviews for the 3days during the chalet and JY for his ride and boardgames. and all who came and enjoyed haha. For now we could freeze this memory and hope for a better one in the future. :D
See y'all during convo.
P.S all photos taken by me above are solely based on the viewfinder. no preview available to delete lousy photos and try for new one. no function can be enabled coz i couldnt see the menu.
