Yup. tracker. let's talk about tracker tracking visitor flow of this blog. muahaha. You might or might not know that there's this Sitemeter thing on the sidebar of this little space of mine on the Net. Norh, the rainbow colour cube thing. Started using it since 22May2005. Heyhey. at first (till now actually) just wanna know how many people are viewing my blog and mayb where are they directed from. and can i just softly announce that viewership of this blog has been increased steadily since (about) 30days ago? :P
hmm and just let me announce that our lucky 6666th visitor of this blog is .. *drumroll*Miss. Ling (Day3er) *clap clap* . haha altho there was some tiny dispute over who is the real 6666th reader(!) but sitemeter solve it for me! :P It appears that the 6666th visitor is someone using ntu account (note that it tracks the IP address of visitors) and was msn with her at that critical moment. haha. and Huat arh! May luck be with you always! Everyone grab luck from her. :)
and special featuring the 5555th visitor(dated 15feb2007) : Miss ahma aka Eileen (snr) ! haha. Dont ask me who is the 4444th, 3333rd, 2222nd or 1111st visitor. I dont know. and probably is me myself. coz that time i havent blocked my own IP address to ignore my own visits(till Sept 2006). and now the value of what sitemeter tracks is THE true intrinsic value of visitors of this blog. Hehe. :D
Since you have decided to read on, lemme share with u some similarities between stock prices and the daily visit graph of this blog.
Just like stock exchange, it goes up and down everyday. and actually you can see that if the current price (today's visits) didnt not drop beyond the previous lowest point, then it's highly probable that it will continue to raise. To illustrate, lets look at Day6 from the graph, it almost, but didnt drop beyond 10(which was the previous lowest point on Day2), thus it ought to increase on Day7, given the stability of the market (ie no surprising frustrating event).
and then a sharp rise is normally followed by a slight fall. You wont get sharp rise everyday. People will start to do farnie stuff ie arbitrage(套利). In stock exchange, people will sell off the stock and hence, price drop the next day and the aforementioned rule applies to this drop. Example, Day3, 10, 15, 22. and apparently the sudden surge was not induced by new entries. I blog everyday nowadays! haha. yet it drops and raises.
Currently, the market can be classified as Bull market (a prolonged period with rising price[visits count]). The opposite would be Bear market. For your info, Day22 recorded the history new high of visits count of this blog. Muahaha. and today (Day23) the visit count is expected to fall.. let's see. and you may wonder where did i learn all these bull from, Sinchew Daily! (Last time) I follow the movement of KLSE(Kuala Lumper Stock Exchange) and 2ndBoard Index everyday de leh. That's how i know some of those technical terms like 阴烛 阳烛 平均移动线 橱窗粉饰 巩固格局 etc. (and now you realised that i could have explained it better if chinese was used, right? :P)
Anyway this is gettting toooooooo long. and one trivial fact about my sitemeter : There were many people who looked for fuyong egg ended up here coz last time i posted a picture of this uber mega ultra delicious looking dish from CurryWok. haha. and i removed it after a while. I dont want here to be a fuyong centre haha.
Just lemme crap one last thing. Actually blogging is like publishing an online newspaper. I write news (my own news) and occasionally some artsy fartsy stuff (like photos, poems, short stories). Kinda like a one-way communication thing. Then it's (very) encouraging and motivating to see that the viewership increases and your readers actually interact with you (thru comments and tagboard) :P
