T..T 伤心です 原来和小两岁的人竟然有年代之分！

学弟介绍之下 花了近一个多月(因为本人贵人事忙)看了这部"属于现在年代" 12集+番外篇，名叫[K-On!]的动画。讲述一组高中女生所组成的軽音部(Light Music Club)和他们band prac的东东。

一个字总结: 萌。尤其是黑头发左撇子的贝斯手。

Klog S4.6 - Eh? It's Week 6 already

Ppl in my area are patriotic. and generally ppl in Singapore are. But for my case. 我爱国家，国家爱我吗 =.=


Hong Lim food centre famous wanton mee stall. the lady with super memory can remember every order no matter how long the queue is. Zai.


Went for haircut at this amazingly standardized QBHouse. You can feel that everything inside came from a Japanese brain. かっこい～ Btw the lady said every strain of my hair grow in different direction.


Dug out my umbrella 'cos it was raining in the morning. Everyone arrived 15-30 minutes late from the usual time. I dont like having the status of "latecomer". Be it work, or fun.

Was a super busy week and before i know it, it's sat noon now already.
Tiring. As in was given task from two teams and i needa complete work from both sides concurrently. Brain need to be split into half then think on different subjects.
and so what if the morning/afternoon partition was set to report to different team?
if emails come then will still need to get the work done.

i.e. there were actually two NJMs exist in the office. Haha.
Time is abit stretched. So not much time for me to think deep.
Learning alot of stuff but not sure how long i need to get used to this split personality working environment. Eh.

At work it is funny that you talk to some colleagues from other department over the phone, working quite closely to get the job done. You could recognise the voice but wouldnt be able to say hi to each other when taking the same lift to go down for lunch.

Back is aching due to bad posture i guess. or lousy chair with no back support. Need a big pillow to help. and just in case i need to stay overnight haha.

Klog S4.5 - Three-day Week

Had a short 3-day week as i was sent for a conference on Mon & Tue. Though it was a 3-day week but was quite packed. Didnt have time to realise that i've misplaced my muvo till fri when i was looking for music. That's why not many photos this week. except for the photos from the conference that i secretly took in my previous entry(will look un-pro if take out camera to take photos right..)

Had a "small chat" with big boss that day. after postponing and rescheduling the meeting for so long he gave me a surprise call last fri to meet him. intimidating sia. Haha.

Takeaways from Risk Management and Valuation Conference

Quelquefois, pointing out issues and problems for a particular area, c'est tres facile et beaucoup vont avoir trop d'opinions. Mais, si il y a des solutions ou non? si la personne qui la propose avec la solution ou non? On ne sais pas. and in most of the cases, answer is no.

Then.
As compared to Compliance, Risk Management could be mistaken to be doing to same thing if you dont look at it carefully. One trying to meet the regulatory guidelines and the other doing something that needs to obey by the guidelines. The thin line (perhaps not so thin) between these two is Risk Management is about communication (allow me to quote from Dr. Frank Ashe), telling people what actions need to be done. A proactive action. Compliance, is more like a push-then-move kinda thing. Anyway, my point is. Most of the time, ppl (general ppl regardless from compliance or risk management except those diehard risk manager) just do the bare minimum for the compliance sake, the risk culture/mindset is just not there yet. (Though somoetimes, it's because of the big environment that forces them to do so). For humans who love peace tranquility i.e. dislike changes, they will never appreciate Risk management before anything strikes on them.

Quel dommage.

Klog S4.4 - Photos

The Company distributed 2 flu masks and 1 thermometer to every employee in view of the rising number of infections. No further instructions to take temperature everyday, yet. Am still going out every week exposing myself to the H1N1. 0.o


Secretly taken from Big Boss' room when both of my teams are having meeting with him. Was using my notepad to cover my phone muahahaha.


Wednesday rain was crazy. Witnessed the up blowing wind lifting up the downpour from the view of my dept window. Photo taken from the pantry.


Chilled durian for supper on Wed. and today (Sat), i had fried rice, pear, prata, tauhuey and birdnest drink. 0.o

Sad to say that Klog has slowly transformed into photos-only entries and these photos are not really related to my work. Wahaha. Just to sumarize a bit, Week 4 there were low period when i was forced to act busy and there were really rush period when i needed to multitask + stayback till 7-730pm. Shooting emails everywhere to HK to India to other departments to colleagues on biztrip. Next week though would be a three-day week in some sense, it's gonna be double the xiong-ness. Tonnes of stuff to be done. Eh. Wish me luck.

It wasnt really an enjoying moment when received the email that put me into an awkward situation. Sigh.

Kopi Kosong
