My supervising prof once told us, "You all think professor very free lah. Give first draft, second draft, so many drafts..." i.e. he expects every draft to be our final draft.

Then, he once wrote in his reply to our email as we couldnt hand in the draft as promised on Friday, "No problem. Don't rush. Better to take your time & do a good job. You do your best, I do the rest ."
